The Tennessee Volunteers are actively pursuing 5-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge as part of their 2026 recruiting efforts. We recently connected with Dandridge to discuss his upcoming summer visits and where Tennessee stands.

Tennessee has consistently recruited talent from Georgia—home state of their potential starting quarterback Jake Merklinger and defensive standout Jeremiah Telander. That trend continues with the 2026 class. After signing seven Georgia prospects in 2025, the Vols now have their eyes on Dandridge, a rapidly ascending wideout from Cambridge High School.

The 6’1”, 175-pound receiver is coming off an impressive junior season where he posted over 1,400 receiving yards. He’s also a track star, clocking a 10.84-second 100-meter dash, and is quickly becoming one of the top names in his class. Dandridge plans to take several official visits this summer before announcing his college decision.

In a conversation with Vols on SI, Dandridge shared his thoughts on Tennessee’s offense:

“I really like the way they play,” he said. “They take deep shots, and that fits my game—we do that a lot in high school too. They trust their receivers and want to show what they can do. A lot of teams hesitate to pass like that, but Tennessee really leans into it. They play tough, aggressive football.”

Tennessee is in need of help at the receiver position heading into the 2025 season, and Dandridge is paying attention to those roster dynamics.

“I always consider how many receivers are already there, who left for the draft or the portal, and who’s committed,” he explained.

Dandridge has built a solid relationship with head coach Josh Heupel and the Tennessee staff, appreciating their focus beyond football.

“It’s been a really genuine conversation,” he noted. “Not just about football—more about life. How to be a man, handle challenges, deal with family. They even check in on how I’m doing in track. That means a lot.”
