The Los Angeles Dodgers are experiencing significant roster changes this offseason. They’ve brought in ace Blake Snell and outfielder Michael Conforto, re-signed reliever Blake Treinen, and extended infielder Tommy Edman.
However, their offseason activity isn’t over yet. The Dodgers currently have three notable free agents: Jack Flaherty, Walker Buehler, and Teoscar Hernández. Reports suggest the team may not bring back any of them.
According to Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller, Flaherty is likely to leave the Dodgers and sign a $72 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels.

“This seems like a perfect opportunity for the Angels to make another big move,” Miller explained. “Flaherty, a Los Angeles native, fits the bill, but the Dodgers appear to be stepping away from the $20M-per-year pitcher market. Meanwhile, the Angels, desperate to avoid another disappointing season, have already made key additions. Pairing Flaherty with Kikuchi, Kyle Hendricks, Tyler Anderson, and José Soriano makes them a more compelling contender in the AL West.”
Surprisingly, the Angels are taking an aggressive approach this winter. In addition to signing left-handed pitcher Yusei Kikuchi, they’re reportedly looking to add Flaherty and possibly bolster their lineup with productive bats to strengthen their playoff chances.
