
Lodolo dealt with a blister last season, but he believes this one isn’t as serious. Manager Terry Francona expects the 6-foot-6 left-hander to recover quickly.
“He’s actually doing pretty well,” Francona said. “They’re going to focus on treatment today, and then likely get a ball back in his hand tomorrow. It might not be a regular baseball—could be one without seams.”

Francona added that the goal is to get Lodolo using a ball again—not to overwork the area, but to help toughen the skin and prevent the blister from returning.
As for Zulueta, he made two relief outings for the Reds in May, giving up one run across 2 1/3 innings.
