Oklahoma senior linebacker Danny Stutsman is setting a positive example in the world of name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals. The 6-foot-4, 243-pound Florida native recently announced plans to share $50,000 of his NIL earnings with Oklahoma’s walk-on players, distributing the money among 18 players, according to a report by On3’s Pete Nakos.

Stutsman’s generosity has sparked further contributions. Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, a restaurant chain founded by former LSU basketball walk-ons Brandon Landry and Jack Warner, matched his $50,000 donation to the walk-ons, as confirmed by Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables.

On a recent radio show, Venables praised Stutsman, calling him a “great example” for both his teammates and society. Oklahoma, now part of the SEC, boasts a 3-0 record and is ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25 poll. This weekend, they face No. 6 Tennessee in a crucial Week 4 matchup that could impact the SEC and the 12-team College Football Playoff.

Stutsman, an AP third-team All-American last year, continues to impress on the field. In Oklahoma’s Week 3 win over Tulane (34-19), he surpassed 300 career tackles. In an August statement, Stutsman expressed his appreciation for his teammates, saying, “I have a really good connection with all of you guys… I want to donate some of my NIL earnings to you.”
