The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks are two teams with playoff aspirations for 2025. The Packers aim to secure their third consecutive playoff berth with Jordan Love leading the offense.
Meanwhile, Seattle wrapped up their season with a 10-7 record but narrowly missed the playoffs. This offseason could mark a turning point for both teams as they consider different paths forward.
“They’re Considering It” Packers-Seahawks Trade Gaining Widespread Attention (Report)
According to BVM Sports:
The Green Bay Packers are reportedly exploring a significant trade to acquire Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, a two-time Pro Bowler.
After a disappointing playoff exit and with star receiver Christian Watson out until at least November 2025, the Packers face limited options in their passing game. Metcalf, who is in the final year of his $72 million contract, could provide a much-needed boost to their offense.
Given Metcalf’s high trade value, the Seahawks might consider moving him, especially with a potential replacement already in place.

Acquiring Metcalf would undoubtedly strengthen Green Bay’s offense, but it would also put additional pressure on their salary cap. Considering their current financial commitments, the team would need to carefully evaluate the financial impact of such a move.
Nonetheless, many believe the Packers will actively pursue a wide receiver this offseason.
