Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis recounted an encounter he had with Colorado Buffaloes quarterback on Friday night.

Sanders has been making a significant impact in college football this season, with his standout performances pushing him up NFL mock draft rankings. Some experts even predict he could be a top-five pick.

In five games during the 2024 season, Sanders has thrown for 1,630 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions.

During Colorado’s bye week, Sanders spent time in Las Vegas, where he attended the WNBA semifinal game between the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces. At the game, Davis and Sanders crossed paths on the baseline, where Davis shared, “I’ve watched all your games.”

Now in his second season as Colorado’s starting quarterback, Sanders previously played two seasons at Jackson State. He joined the Buffaloes alongside his father, head coach Deion Sanders, and standout two-way player Travis Hunter. Colorado is currently on a three-game winning streak and holds a 4-1 record, with victories over North Dakota State, Colorado State, Baylor, and UCF.

In Week 7, Colorado will face a tough test, hosting the No. 20 Kansas State Wildcats, with kickoff set for 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Davis, who became the majority owner of the Raiders in 2011 after his father’s passing, is now 69 years old. Under his ownership, the Raiders have made the NFL playoffs twice (2016 and 2021), but lost both times in the wildcard round. In 2020, he relocated the team from Oakland to Las Vegas, where it has been based since 1995.
