Although it will be difficult for them to do so, the San Diego Padres are trying to catch up to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers have already re-signed Blake Treinen and added Michael Conforto and Blake Snell.
San Diego hasn’t taken the same significant actions as Los Angeles. The Padres are entangled in speculations even though they haven’t made a significant move yet. Nolan Arenado has six teams on his want list for trades, and they are one of them. In order to get additional talent, San Diego might possibly deal away its own players.
The Padres are open to considering trade proposals for infielders Luis Arraez and Xander Bogaerts, as well as starting pitcher Dylan Cease, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. There should be a lot of trade interest in all three of these elite players from throughout the league.

Bogaerts’ contract expires in 2033, making him the least likely to be relocated. In 2025, both Arraez and Cease will begin their walking years. Each of the three stars will probably draw some interest from the Padres, but trading them may not be as likely.
We might witness a transaction if a competing team is prepared to give up big league players in order to acquire the Padres talents. San Diego is unlikely to relocate two of these three names, though.
If a team like the Baltimore Orioles are ready to part with a young big league position player, I could see a Cease trade come to be.
