On Tuesday, the New York Rangers placed four players on waivers, including goalie Louis Domingue. If all four players clear waivers on Wednesday, they are expected to be sent to Hartford in the American Hockey League. The other players placed on waivers include defensemen Casey Fitzgerald and Brandon Scanlin, as well as forward Anton Blidh.

During the preseason, Domingue has played in two games, allowing one goal on 27 shots over 50 minutes and 18 seconds.
Two defensemen, one forward also placed on waivers by Rangers

Fitzgerald was signed as a free agent by the Rangers this summer. The 27-year-old is the son of Tom Fitzgerald, the general manager of the New Jersey Devils, and has played 63 NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers.
He did not score in two preseason games.
Scanlin also did not register any points in his two preseason games in September. The 25-year-old accumulated 16 points (eight goals and eight assists) in 64 games with Hartford last season.
He made his NHL debut with the Rangers on March 26 of last season, the same night the team secured a playoff spot with a 6-5 overtime victory against the Philadelphia Flyers, although Scanlin did not score in that game.
Blidh netted the Rangers’ only goal in their 3-1 preseason defeat against the Devils on Monday. The 29-year-old has participated in 85 NHL games, including one last season with the Rangers, and recorded 17 points (seven goals and 10 assists) in 64 games with Hartford.
