MLB.com’s Ian Browne recently described Boston as a “sneaky contender” for the 26-year-old. While Soto hasn’t received any formal offers yet, he’s reportedly shown interest in what the Red Sox have to offer.
Browne pointed to several factors that could appeal to Him, including his fit at Fenway Park, the team’s history with Dominican players, and the potential for long-term success with the franchise.

Although the Yankees and Mets might hold greater allure for Soto, the Red Sox have enough to make a compelling pitch. The four-time All-Star is expected to decide on his next team before the Winter Meetings kick off on December 9. While it would be surprising if Boston came out on top, they appear poised to remain in the conversation until the very end.
