The Detroit Lions are off to a strong 4-1 start in their first five games, with hopes of contending for a championship this season. This weekend’s matchup is especially critical, as they’ll face the undefeated 5-0 Minnesota Vikings.
However, the recent injury to Aidan Hutchinson has led the Lions to explore potential trade options to fill the gap on their defensive line. Reports suggest that they’ve already initiated talks with another team about bringing in a replacement.
Lions Fans Erupt After Team Officially Picks Up The Phone For Massive Trade (Report)
Daniel Yerushalmi first reported the story, noting that the Detroit Lions are likely looking beyond their current roster to address the gap caused by the injury to their top defender. The team’s primary trade target appears to be Haason Reddick. Although the Lions boast one of the league’s strongest offenses, they’ll need a high-caliber defense to advance through the NFC and potentially reach the Super Bowl.

According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Reddick is the key player being pursued as a replacement, with Detroit reaching out to the New York Jets regarding the Pro Bowler:
“The #Lions have inquired about Haason Reddick, according to a source. It might just be due diligence, but Dan Campbell mentioned that GM Brad Holmes is doing his research, which seems to be the case here,” Fowler reported.
Fans were quick to respond to the idea of Reddick joining Detroit.
