JUST IN: Boston Red Sox Blockbuster Trade Land $50 Million Chicago White Sox Outfielder Luis Robert Jr After Teoscar Hernández Pivot

The Boston Red Sox were strongly linked to free-agent outfielder Teoscar Hernández, viewing the 32-year-old as a reliable backup option after failing to acquire Juan Soto.

However, Boston has now missed out on both Soto and Hernández, with Hernández returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers. This leaves the Red Sox searching for another plan, and FanSided’s Christopher Kline has proposed an intriguing solution: a blockbuster trade for Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr.

“At just 27 years old, Robert is theoretically still on the rise,” Kline noted. “If he can stay healthy and regain his rhythm, the Red Sox could secure their cleanup hitter for the future. His contract includes affordable $20 million club options for 2026 and 2027, offering Boston three full years of his services.

“The blend of age, contract value, and potential is rare. There’s some risk, of course, but Robert is primed for a bounce-back season, especially in a winning environment. The Red Sox should absolutely explore trade discussions with Chicago one more time.”

If Boston can acquire Robert without sacrificing their top-tier prospects, it would be a significant win. The team has already executed a major deal with the White Sox, and landing Robert could be another smart move, particularly if they can help him replicate his impressive performance from 2023.
