Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff remain consistent in their pitches to recruits

With the arrival of head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff, Auburn football has seen a significant boost in recruiting, reaching levels not witnessed in many years. Before Freeze’s tenure, recruiting in some areas, like offensive linemen, had even been on the decline. However, Freeze embraced this challenge, and Auburn’s recruiting efforts have vastly improved over the past few classes, adapting to modern recruiting challenges like the transfer portal and NIL.

In 2024, Freeze and the Tigers secured a top 10 recruiting class, bringing in one of the strongest groups of wide receivers in the program’s history. Now, the focus shifts to the 2025 class, which has the potential to be one of Auburn’s highest-ranked classes ever.

Freeze praised his recruiting staff for their ability to build strong relationships with prospects but emphasized that Auburn’s unique culture and environment also play a significant role.

“I think we’ve been consistent with our message,” Freeze told Auburn Rivals. “Our message is pretty simple: come and see. We believe Auburn offers a different culture and environment. I’m not saying it’s for everyone or that we’re better than others, but I do think we’re different.”

The 2025 recruiting class currently consists of 22 commits and is ranked #% overall, with several joining recently during or after Big Cat Weekend. With early signing day still months away, there’s ample time for more players to commit to Auburn football.

“I’m pleased with where we are right now, ranked in the top 10 nationally, which is where you need to be to compete,” Freeze said. “If we can secure a few more key pieces, we’ll be able to build on the 2024 class, which was also solid. I feel pretty comfortable with where we stand right now.”
