Good News: Ohio State Lands 5-Star Talent, Who Also Dismisses Flip Rumors: ‘I’m Locked In’

Need a reminder that anything can happen in recruiting? Look no further than Ohio State’s recent win with elite wide receiver prospect Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. Ryan Day and the Buckeyes secured his commitment over top programs like Oregon, Texas, USC, and Alabama.

Shortly after his announcement, rumors began to circulate suggesting Dixon-Wyatt was reconsidering his decision. However, he quickly shut those down, reaffirming that he is fully locked in with Ohio State. The speculation proved baseless, and Dixon-Wyatt made it clear—he’s 100 percent committed to the Buckeyes.

Interestingly, both Dixon-Wyatt and fellow 5-star Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. received surprise offers from Delaware State. But with all due respect to DeSean Jackson Jr. and the Hornets, those offers weren’t going to sway either top-tier recruit.

Despite the early chatter, Dixon-Wyatt wasted no time in doubling down on his decision through Hayes Fawcett. Buckeye fans have plenty of reason to be excited—at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, he’s a dynamic athlete who’s collected 38 total offers and is ranked the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports.

Dixon-Wyatt is a huge addition for Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, and while doubters hoped he’d either pick a different school or flip later, that’s simply not happening. He’s all in on Ohio State and ready to shine in Columbus starting in 2026.
