linebacker Nick Abrams II originally intended to take two or three official visits before announcing his college decision this summer. However, he ultimately scheduled four trips. He will visit Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, and Oregon. While Penn State is also among his top five schools and he has a weekend open, Abrams does not plan to take an official visit there.
Meanwhile, four-star defensive lineman Preston J. Carey from IMG Academy (Fla.) is aiming for a June 30 decision, but he still has several visits to make before then. He has lined up official visits to all seven of his finalists, starting with Georgia in May and concluding with USC in late June.

One of his scheduled visits includes a stop at Alabama from June 17 to 19, which will be his first visit to the campus this year. Carey previously received an offer from Crimson Tide defensive line coach Freddie Roach during the January contact period and has been to Tuscaloosa before.
“I’ve been working on building relationships with the coaching staff for months,” Carey said in January. “Any SEC offer is a blessing, but getting one from Alabama meant a lot. I was really thankful for that call. Coach Roach was very positive—he liked my tape and said I’d be a good fit for their defensive line.”
In a recent conversation with Bama247, Carey discussed Alabama’s position among his top programs, the communication he’s had with the staff, and what he hopes to learn during his visit.
