Since former star center Corey Linsley faced career-ending heart-related health issues in September 2023, the Los Angeles Chargers have struggled with subpar play at the position.
In Linsley’s absence, the team turned to Will Clapp—who, while respectable, wasn’t a starting-caliber player—followed by Brenden Jaimes, a former college tackle, and then Bradley Bozeman for the entire 2024 season. Unfortunately, none provided the stability the Chargers needed on the offensive line.
Although Bozeman was a well-respected teammate and remained healthy, his on-field performance wasn’t strong enough to solidify him as the long-term starter.

Despite concerns about the Chargers’ ability to evaluate talent and move on from popular players, they defied expectations by signing recently released Raiders center Andre James.
