With the 2025 NFL Draft less than two months away, the Los Angeles Rams hold the 26th overall pick and are evaluating their options following the recent NFL Combine. According to ESPN’s latest mock draft, Ohio State wide receiver is a player to watch for Los Angeles.
While freshman standout Jeremiah Smith drew significant attention last season, Ohio State’s receiver corps is stacked with talent. He has been among the top wideouts in college football for years and is projected to be a first-round pick.
In ESPN’s mock draft, Jordan Reid highlighted Him as a strong fit for Sean McVay’s offense, particularly with Cooper Kupp likely departing. “Egbuka slots perfectly into Sean McVay’s offense as arguably the most polished receiver in this year’s class,” Reid wrote.

“A detailed route runner, Egbuka doesn’t have elite burst but knows how to create separation against man coverage and find openings against zone defenses. He’s also a willing blocker, which is crucial in McVay’s scheme.”
Pairing Egbuka with Puka Nacua could give the Rams a formidable receiving duo. Nacua quickly emerged as one of the NFL’s top young receivers, and Egbuka has the skillset to make an immediate impact as well.
Egbuka began his Ohio State career in 2021 and broke out during his sophomore season, recording 74 receptions for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Though injuries slowed him in his junior year, he rebounded in 2024 with 81 receptions, 1,011 yards, and 10 touchdowns. Given Ohio State’s track record of producing elite NFL receivers, Egbuka could be the next in line.
With the Rams needing to replace Kupp, Egbuka would be an excellent option if he’s still available at No. 26.
