In 2023, He batted .209 with six home runs and 28 RBIs, playing only 61 games due to injuries, including a left oblique strain, fractured right forearm, and lower back strain. This season, he appeared in 121 games, hitting a career-low .208 with 12 homers and 44 RBIs.

Now 33, He made his MLB debut with Arizona in 2016 before being traded to Seattle. Over eight major league seasons, he has a .250 career average with 130 home runs and 395 RBIs.

After joining the Giants in 2023, he was traded back to Seattle last January in exchange for pitcher Robbie Ray. Ray, who returned to the Giants midseason following Tommy John surgery, also declined his opt-out option and will remain with the team for 2025.
