Breaking News: “Super Bowl Push” Ravens Land Future Hall-of-Famer

The Buffalo Bills are coming off an appearance in the AFC Championship Game, where they fell short by just three points. The previous week, they narrowly secured a Divisional Round victory over the Baltimore Ravens, edging them out by two points.

Now, the Ravens—the team Buffalo eliminated—could be eyeing a former Bill in free agency.

Buffalo signed future Hall of Fame linebacker Von Miller to a six-year, $120 million contract in 2022. However, after three injury-plagued and underwhelming seasons, Miller is back on the market.

NFL writer Jarrett Bailey included Miller among the top potential free-agent targets for the Ravens, noting Baltimore’s history of adding veteran defenders.

Bills' GM Brandon Beane 'would never close the door' on Von Miller reunion

“The Ravens are well known for bringing in experienced defensive players, particularly in the front seven,” Bailey wrote. “At this stage of his career, Miller isn’t suited for a three-down role, but using him as a situational pass rusher—like a closer in baseball—could be valuable.”

With the Bills, Miller was primarily used as a third-down pass rusher, as concerns about his health and endurance limited his ability to play every down.

Last season, he appeared in 13 games, recording six sacks—tied for the second-most on the team—along with 17 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hits. While his per-snap production was solid, his hefty contract made him expendable.

As Miller enters his age-36 season, his eventual place in Canton seems inevitable. The eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro was the 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year and a two-time Super Bowl champion, earning Super Bowl 50 MVP honors. He was also named to the Hall of Fame’s All-2010s Team.

Before calling it a career, however, Miller is seeking his fourth NFL team. If the Ravens sign him, the Bills may have to face their former pass rusher when it matters most—in the playoffs.
