With injuries and underperforming players, the Seahawks may not be finished making roster changes ahead of the Nov. 5 NFL trade deadline. Could they make another deal with the struggling Jaguars?
Former NFL scout and host of the NFL Network’s “Move The Sticks” podcast, Daniel Jeremiah, suggested Jacksonville linebacker as a possible trade target for Seattle during his weekly chat on “Brock and Salk” on Wednesday.

On Thursday, FOX analyst and former NFL quarterback Brock Huard shared his own thoughts on a potential Lloyd trade during the daily “Blue 88” segment on the same show.
“When (Jeremiah) says it’s never been harder to play the position, you know what you need? Size, speed, length, and versatility,” Huard said. “And (Lloyd) checks all of those boxes.”
Fans in the Pacific Northwest might remember Lloyd from his standout days at Utah in the Pac-12, where he was the 2021 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-American. He was a two-time finalist for the Dick Butkus Award, given to the nation’s top linebacker.

During his illustrious college career, Lloyd amassed 45 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, 13 passes defended, and five interceptions, including three pick-sixes.
Jacksonville drafted Lloyd with the 27th overall pick in the first round in 2022.
Lloyd recorded over 100 total tackles in each of his first two NFL seasons and showed playmaking ability as a rookie with three interceptions, though he also faced challenges adjusting to the pro level.
Pro Football Focus named Lloyd Jacksonville’s most improved player last season. Notably for the Seahawks, he was ranked the third-best inside linebacker against the run last year and currently ranks ninth in 2024.
“As far as raw talent, it’s there,” Huard added. “… He excelled at Utah and has the body and skills to match. It’s worth a call, especially as Jacksonville’s season continues to spiral.”
