The New Orleans Saints are bringing in Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Turner for a top-30 visit, according to Nick Underhill.
Turner spent four seasons with the Aggies, recording 10 sacks and 24 tackles for loss across 43 games. The 6-foot-3 lineman had his most productive season as a junior, tallying six sacks and forcing two fumbles.

Known for his positional versatility, the 290-pound Turner initially played defensive end before transitioning to defensive tackle. His blend of speed and strength makes him an effective interior pass rusher, while his size helps him control the run game.

With the hiring of defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, the Saints are shifting to a 3-4 defensive scheme, emphasizing size and pass-rushing ability on the line. Turner’s adaptability could make him a strong fit for their system.
Projected as a third- to fourth-round pick, Turner could be within reach for New Orleans, which holds two selections in both rounds. If available, he could be a valuable addition to their defensive front.
