The Los Angeles Rams have locked in one of their key offensive contributors, agreeing to a one-year, $10 million contract extension with wide receiver. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the deal on X, noting that His agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, negotiated the terms.

Atwell, who was set to become a free agent, will return for his fifth season with the Rams in 2025. He has steadily improved since being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Louisville, where he recorded 2,307 career receiving yards and 22 touchdowns.

Initially used as a kick returner, Atwell’s rookie season was cut short by a shoulder injury. However, he bounced back in 2022 with 298 receiving yards and a touchdown, followed by a 2023 season where he posted 483 yards and three scores. He reached a career high in 2024, hauling in 62 receptions for 562 yards.

The new deal includes a $5 million signing bonus and is fully guaranteed. If Atwell does not re-sign after the 2025 season, he will hit free agency in 2026.

The Rams, fresh off a playoff run that ended in a Divisional Round loss to the Eagles, continue to build on their offensive depth as they aim for another postseason push.
