Red Sox fans got a deeper preview of what to expect from The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox as Netflix released the first trailer for the docuseries on Wednesday. The eight-episode series provides an inside look at the mental and physical demands of an MLB season, covering players, coaches, and front-office decisions throughout 2024.

The trailer highlights the Red Sox’s significance to Boston, featuring a clip of MassLive’s Sean McAdam discussing the team’s recent inconsistency.

It includes emotional moments from players like Triston Casas and Jarren, as well as pitching coach Andrew Bailey reflecting on the grind of a 162-game season.

Manager Alex Cora is shown motivating his team, while chief baseball officer Craig Breslow is featured during trade deadline discussions. The series also offers insight into how the game impacts players’ personal lives through their families.

While Boston finished the 2024 season at 81-81, the docuseries provides an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at MLB, potentially boosting interest in the team—much like Netflix’s Full Swing and Drive to Survive did for golf and Formula 1.

The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox premieres on April 9.
