Kentucky redshirt freshman defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Hayes Fawcett of On3. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 275 pounds, Gilbert leaves the Wildcats with three years of eligibility left, freeing up a scholarship spot for the 2025 season.

Gilbert originally committed to Purdue before flipping to Kentucky on National Signing Day. A standout from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, he was a 4-star recruit according to Rivals, ranked No. 2 in Indiana and the No. 12 defensive lineman nationally. He chose Kentucky over offers from programs like LSU and Iowa.
