We just got our answer regarding Montreal Canadiens defenseman.
Unless there’s a significant change, He is set to be among the Canadiens’ top six defensemen at the start of the season, ready to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
That’s great news!
He will be in uniform tomorrow
Unless something significant changes in the near future, He is projected to play on the third defensive pair with Justin Barron, while Jayden Struble will serve as the seventh defenseman.
This doesn’t guarantee his spot long-term, but it solidifies the plan for him to be in the lineup for the season opener against a division rival.
It’s expected to be a physical game, and having “the Sheriff” on the ice is a big plus.
At 23 years old, He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 240 pounds. The left-shot defenseman has recorded 23 points in 95 NHL games, along with 182 penalty minutes.
Justin Barron est le 7e défenseur à l'entraînement du Canadien. Arber Xhekaj et Jayden Struble (à droite) forment la 3e paire.

If he were a right-shot defenseman, locking down a regular spot in the lineup might be much easier.
Hopefully, he plays well tomorrow night at the Bell Centre.

Martin St-Louis also made some changes to the offense, with young Emil Heineman set to appear in his fifth NHL game, skating alongside Jake Evans.

Heineman’s potential is certainly something to keep an eye on.
St-Louis has praised him throughout training camp, and now he’s following through on those words.
