The Dallas Cowboys have an opportunity to obtain an All-Pro wide receiver.

The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 5 with a 2-2 record and are scheduled to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

Despite being at .500, the Cowboys’ roster requires improvement. Their running game has struggled significantly, increasing the burden on Dak Prescott and the passing offense.

Additionally, the Cowboys’ receiving corps suffered a setback this week when Brandin Cooks underwent knee surgery and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. With Dallas in need of immediate solutions, Las Vegas wide receiver Davante Adams has formally requested a trade.

This has triggered a flurry of interest from multiple teams, prompting Tashan Reed and The Athletic NFL Staff to create trade proposals that include the Cowboys as potential contenders.

The Cowboys could benefit from having Adams on offense, and in this proposed trade, they aren’t giving up too much.

In this scenario, the Cowboys would acquire Adams in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and receiver Jalen Brooks.

Although the Raiders are reportedly looking for a first or second-round pick for Adams, they might not achieve that. The article mentions that the Raiders could receive better offers, but if they decided to send him to Dallas, it would be a significant move.

Pairing Adams with CeeDee Lamb would create one of the most formidable receiving duos in the NFL. With the Cowboys under pressure to win a Super Bowl this year, the opportunity to secure an All-Pro playmaker like Adams may not come around again.

If Jerry Jones and his team are truly focused on winning, they should reach out to Las Vegas to discuss what it would take to bring Adams on board. Additionally, it would mark a reunion for Mike McCarthy and Adams, who worked together in Green Bay from 2014 to 2018.
