The Los Angeles Chargers have had one of the most puzzling offseasons in the NFL this year. Coming into it, they faced urgent needs at both wide receiver and tight end.
Rookie Ladd McConkey emerged as a standout, but beyond him, the team got very little production from its receiving corps. Instead of addressing this long-term problem with meaningful moves, the Chargers have mostly relied on temporary fixes.
The biggest names they’ve brought in are Mike Williams—who didn’t look like himself last season—and Tyler Conklin, who’s a solid pickup but not a game-changer. Fans have been left wondering when a true difference-maker at receiver will arrive.
Now, Bleacher Report has suggested some trade scenarios that might provide the upgrade Chargers fans have been waiting for.
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has faced uncertainty about his future after a key dropped pass in the playoff loss to Buffalo. While head coach John Harbaugh expressed confidence in his return, GM Eric DeCosta was vague during a recent press conference.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton proposed five possible trade destinations for the three-time Pro Bowler, with the Chargers among them. His hypothetical deal would send a fourth-round pick and offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer to Baltimore in exchange for Andrews.

The cost isn’t steep, and Andrews’ contract makes it even more appealing—he’s entering the final year of his deal, so the Chargers wouldn’t be locked in long-term if they chose to move on after this season.
However, given the Chargers’ reluctance to invest in top-tier talent this offseason, it’s unclear if they’d suddenly change course now. Still, considering the minimal trade cost and the potential impact at a position of need, this move could offer tremendous value for LA.
