Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon exited the game against the Atlanta Braves on Friday night in the fourth inning due to a bruised right elbow.
Rendon, who frequently faces injuries, has appeared in just 41 games this season and has gone hitless in his last 12 at-bats.

Rendon was standing on first base during the fourth inning of the first game of a doubleheader for the Angels.
Earlier this year, he missed 68 games because of a strained left hamstring and was out for eight more games a few weeks ago due to lower back inflammation.
At 34, Rendon hasn’t played more than 58 games in any of his five seasons with the Angels since signing a seven-year, $245 million contract.
