The Seattle Mariners have lost their lead in the American League West due to a faltering offense, but they’ve made a move to address this issue. Early this morning (or late last evening, depending on your time zone), they struck a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays to acquire outfielder Randy Arozarena. In return, they sent prospects outfielder Aidan Smith, right-handed pitcher Brody Hopkins, and a player to be named later to the Rays.
