On Tuesday, the Colts were active, making changes to their roster depth after putting star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on injured reserve.

On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Colts revealed that they have placed starting defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (ankle) on injured reserve. To bolster their defensive line, they have signed defensive end from their practice squad.

Additionally, the team has added defensive tackle Adam Gotsis, cornerback Gregory Junior, and defensive end Titus Leo to the practice squad, while releasing defensive tackle McTelvin Agim and cornerback Ameer Speed.

Titus Leo, a 2023 6th-round draft pick of the Colts, was recently released but had spent last season on injured reserve and participated in this year’s training camp and preseason with the team. He was among the final roster cuts but has now been re-signed to the practice squad.

Philadelphia Eagles: Patrick Johnson, Genard Avery are set up for success

Genard Avery, a 6-year veteran, spent last season on injured reserve for the Colts. Over his career, he has accumulated 106 tackles (65 solo), 12 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 5 passes defensed, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in 62 games (17 starts). This preseason, he earned a +64.4 overall grade, including a sack, a QB hit, and a +74.4 pass-rushing grade. Although Avery isn’t a 3-technique tackle like Buckner, he should contribute as a rotational edge rusher. He was promoted for game day last week but was a healthy inactive.
