Could Jalen Milroe Be the Next Jalen Hurts?

The Eagles are currently slated to pick last in the first round of the NFL Draft at No. 32. That spot could be an intriguing trade target for the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to recent rumors.
Pittsburgh is in the market for a quarterback—regardless of whether they end up rolling the dice on veteran Aaron Rodgers (assuming he’s even interested in joining them).
While the Steelers could use their 21st overall pick on someone like Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart, both of those QBs are expected to be off the board before then.
But what if Pittsburgh gets creative? What if they work out a deal with the Super Bowl champion Eagles to jump into that 32nd slot, a spot where drafting Alabama’s Jalen Milroe could make a lot of sense?
Milroe has reportedly caught Pittsburgh’s eye, with head coach Mike Tomlin even meeting with him during the pre-draft process. If the Steelers are truly sold on Milroe—widely regarded as the top running quarterback in this class—they may be willing to pay the price to land him.
Let’s not forget: back in 2020, the Steelers had interest in Jalen Hurts before the Eagles snatched him up in the second round. Since then, Hurts has grown into a bona fide franchise player.
