The Denver Nuggets have once again fallen short in the playoffs, exiting in the second round for the second straight year—even with superstar Nikola Jokic leading the charge. Since capturing the 2023 NBA title, the team hasn’t quite looked the same. Now, they’re hoping to recapture that championship form with a busy offseason.

Among their notable summer moves: trading for Cam Johnson, acquiring Jonas Valanciunas, and signing Tim Hardaway Jr. But one particular move has really fired up the fan base.

Denver is bringing back Bruce Brown, a key contributor to their 2023 title run. Brown had stints with the Pacers, Raptors, and Pelicans over the past two seasons—being traded twice—before rejoining the Nuggets.

On Wednesday, the Nuggets officially announced the return of the versatile 28-year-old guard/forward.

He’s averaged 8.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in nearly 25 minutes per game. In 40 playoff games (11 starts), he’s averaged 10.0 points and 4.0 rebounds.

Brown rejoins the Nuggets after a career-best season in Denver during 2022-23, when he averaged 11.5 points, 3.4 assists, 1.08 steals, and 28.5 minutes per game—helping lead the franchise to its first-ever NBA title.

The Boston native, originally selected 42nd overall by the Pistons in the 2018 draft after two years at the University of Miami, will once again don No. 11 in Denver.
