The Angels have re-signed right-hander to another minor league deal, according to the MiLB.com transaction log. The log also shows that the team has released Buck Farmer and Andrew Vasquez from their minor league contracts. Anderson will report to Triple-A Salt Lake.
This marks the third minor league contract Anderson has signed with the Angels in 2024. He has been called up to the majors twice but was designated for assignment each time due to being out of minor league options. After electing free agency both times, Anderson chose to return to the organization on fresh deals.

In the majors this season, the 30-year-old has made six relief appearances, giving up nine runs on 16 hits—including three home runs—over 10 2/3 innings. In Triple-A Salt Lake, he’s worked as a starter, posting a 5.74 ERA through 42 1/3 innings. While he holds a sub-4.00 ERA across seven Triple-A seasons, his career ERA in the big leagues stands at 6.20 over 162 2/3 innings.
Farmer and Vasquez both joined the Angels in May. Farmer struggled in Triple-A, allowing 12 earned runs in 12 innings. Vasquez gave up nine earned runs over 13 innings, striking out 10 and walking five. Neither has appeared in the majors this season.
