The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to begin their mandatory minicamp from June 10 to June 12, and by then, they hope to have a decision from future Hall of Fame quarterback.
He has been linked to the Steelers throughout the offseason and is still expected to be their starting quarterback for the 2025 NFL season, although he has yet to sign a contract.
At 41, He could be the deciding factor between a deep playoff run and missing the postseason. His presence would be a significant asset for Pittsburgh.

Despite numerous updates in recent months regarding Rodgers’ potential move to the Steelers, no concrete progress has been made—until now.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter recently hinted at a possible timeline for Rodgers’ arrival. Speaking on ESPN Milwaukee, Schefter said, “My guess is he’s gonna wind up going (to Pittsburgh).”
He added that team owner Art Rooney has publicly expressed his expectation that Rodgers will sign, and with minicamp approaching, a decision could come within the next week.

Last season with the New York Jets, Rodgers completed 63% of his passes, throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. While not his career-best, those numbers still represent a strong performance by NFL standards.
For Pittsburgh, that level of production would be a considerable upgrade from last year’s quarterback play and would elevate their offense significantly.
Around the league, few—if any—teams offer Rodgers a realistic shot at another Super Bowl. Though he showed interest in the Minnesota Vikings, they appear committed to rookie J.J. McCarthy.
If Rodgers wants to keep playing and remain competitive, Pittsburgh appears to be the best option. Barring any setbacks, it’s likely he’ll finalize a deal with the Steelers soon.
