BREAKING NEWS: Las Vegas Raiders To Trade Another Superstar After Davante Adams Trade

Raiders fans are understandably preparing for the worst, and it’s hard to blame them.

After Davante Adams was traded yesterday, things are looking grim in Las Vegas. Adams had been halfway out the door for most of the past year, and now the team faces the prospect of finishing the season with poor quarterback play and most of the Week 1 stars no longer around. At least Brock Bowers is still solid!

With Adams now successfully forcing his way to the Jets, attention shifts to the next Raiders star who could become available if Tom Telesco decides to blow it all up.

Crosby has had an inconsistent season, partly due to the high ankle sprain he suffered in a win against Baltimore, but he’s still one of the league’s top pass rushers when healthy.

Despite his speech about loyalty, how he doesn’t want to leave, and even having a Raiders logo tattoo, it seemed plausible that he might be traded, especially since a team from his home state is in need of an edge rusher. Right?

Wrong! Raiders owner Mark Davis recently shut down any speculation, firmly stating that they won’t be trading Crosby.

Mark Davis strongly rejects idea that Raiders will trade Maxx Crosby this season

Not the news I was looking to hear: “Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors: Raiders Wouldn't Consider Deal for Multiple 1st-Round Picks” : r/detroitlions

“It’s unfortunate, but there’s so much misinformation out there today,” Davis told The Athletic. “It’s not coming from any credible sources. My approach is not to address all of it, because you can get sucked into a never-ending cycle. It’s simply not true.”

There you have it! While I don’t always take an owner’s word at face value, this statement definitely sounds like someone who has no intention of trading away his team’s last standout player.

Crosby seems to mean more to this franchise than Adams ever did. He’s been with Vegas since the team’s Oakland days and could very well be a cornerstone for the Raiders’ future success. (Can you believe he’s only 27?)

With the NFL trade deadline looming on November 5th, there are only a few weeks left to anxiously await every Adam Schefter tweet involving the Lions. Enjoy the suspense!
