Miami Hurricanes quarterback has become a hot topic in college football, with potential to turn heads in the NFL soon. As the 2025 NFL draft approaches, He is climbing up draft boards and is also a contender for the Heisman Trophy.
So, which NFL team would be a good fit for him? In his first six games, He has passed for 2,219 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions, completing over 69% of his passes. Additionally, he has 28 carries for 161 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, indicating that many NFL teams could benefit from his skills.
The New York Giants may soon be looking for a new quarterback, likely feeling some regret over Daniel Jones’ four-year, $160 million contract. With a QBR of 51.2, Jones ranks No. 21 in the league, and the Giants have the option to move on from him after this season, though it would come with a $22.2 million dead cap hit.
We had NBC NFL draft expert @ConnorJRogers to talk his most intriguing draft prospects (and the Jets). I promise you HE brought up Cam Ward. His idea!

According to NFLTrade.Co’s Ethan Woodie, the Giants would be an ideal destination for Ward. In his latest 2025 mock draft, Woodie predicts the Giants will select Ward with the No. 15 pick.
NBC NFL draft expert Connor Rogers also mentioned Ward as a top prospect, stating, “He has risen to being my top quarterback in the class… I had Cam Ward fifth coming out of summer.”

Though Ward’s performance has cooled slightly since a strong start to the season, Woodie noted on Oct. 11 that he remains one of the top quarterbacks.

He added that regardless of how many surprising victories head coach Brian Daboll manages to get out of Jones, the Giants will likely reset their quarterback situation next offseason. Woodie emphasized that “Ward can make every throw and regularly produces special plays, which have been lacking in New York for some time.”
While it’s still early in the 2025 draft process, Ward is positioning himself as a first-round candidate. ESPN’s Jordan Reid ranks him as the No. 2 quarterback prospect for 2025, just behind Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders.
