The Seattle Seahawks activated former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick ahead of their Thursday night game against the San Francisco 49ers.
This marked His’ first appearance of the season for the Seahawks, though he has been with the team for three years.
He originally signed with Seattle during Pete Carroll’s tenure as head coach, but new head coach Mike Macdonald retained him for his man coverage abilities.
Against the 49ers, Burns recorded a pass breakup and two tackles, primarily contributing on special teams while occasionally filling in on defense.

Burns, a 2016 first-round selection out of Miami (FL) by the Steelers, spent four seasons in Pittsburgh before the team declined his fifth-year option, allowing him to enter free agency. Over his career, he has totaled 195 tackles and four interceptions. After leaving the Steelers, Burns spent two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
