Every time He steps up to bat at Citi Field during this postseason, he’s greeted with “MVP” chants, and he consistently shows why he’s in the running for that title.

In the sixth inning of Wednesday’s series-clinching Game 4 victory, Lindor hit a 398-foot grand slam, putting the Mets on the scoreboard and giving them the lead. This crucial hit ultimately secured New York’s place in the National League Championship Series.

Mets owner Steve Cohen feels confident that his investment in the talented shortstop has paid off.

“That $341 million is looking pretty good right now,” he told The New York Post after the game.

The Mets had previously left the bases loaded in both the first and second innings, but Lindor made sure that wouldn’t happen again.

“This is amazing,” Lindor remarked. “This is an incredible day.”

Cohen’s initial major move as the Mets’ owner was signing Lindor to a 10-year, $341 million extension in 2021.

The Mets are set to head to California this weekend to face the winner of the Padres-Dodgers series in the NLCS.
