The Red Sox have reached a deal with reliever on a minor league contract for 2026, according to Ari Alexander. Represented by Gaeta Sports Management, Harris will join Boston’s Spring Training as a non-roster invitee.

This marks His second straight year with the Red Sox organization. The 32-year-old right-hander spent the past season in their system after initially signing a minor league pact with the Mets last November.

Boston later selected him in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 draft. After missing a few weeks with shoulder inflammation early in the year, he returned in June and went on to log 39 innings at Triple-A Worcester, posting a 4.15 ERA. While he struck out 25% of batters, he also gave up too many walks and home runs.

Originally drafted by the Yankees, Harris broke into the majors with the Nationals two years ago, appearing in 16 games and allowing 12 runs (11 earned) across 19 1/3 innings, with only nine strikeouts.

Across parts of five Triple-A seasons, though, he’s managed a solid 24% strikeout rate. Harris leans on a three-pitch mix featuring a mid-80s splitter, a four-seam fastball that averages around 95 mph, and an upper-80s cutter that serves as his breaking ball.
