Excitement is growing around Chargers rookie Junior Colson as he joins the team’s defense for the first time in training camp after spending a few weeks recovering from appendix surgery.

Colson, who played a crucial role during Michigan’s national championship season, aims to once again be a key player under coach Jim Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter.
The Chargers are eager to see him return to the field.
“We drafted him for a reason,” Minter stated.
